Terms of Service for Individual and Group Music Instruction
Thank you for choosing M3 Creative Academy. We want to ensure that your experience with us exceeds your expectations.
Payments:
Customers will receive an invoice due on receipt at the beginning of each month and may choose to enroll in automatic payments for the academic year (September 6th to June 2nd for 2022- 2023). We require all payments to be made through credit card, debit, or bank payment. Monthly pricing is based on an average of four lessons per month taking place during our Academic Year. Customers may end their services with us anytime by submitting a request to end services delivered through email.
Charter schools that contract M3 Creative Academy will be invoiced according to the agreed contract terms.
All M3 Creative Academy customers who utilize charter school instruction funds to purchase our services assume full financial responsibility for the services provided. M3 Creative Academy will invoice customers should a purchase order be missing, not requested, or unable to be paid for any reason. Should a purchase order for a partial payment be created, the customer will be invoiced for the remaining amount.
M3 Creative Academy reserves the right to terminate services after seven days of non-payment on any invoice.
Holidays, Missed Lessons or Classes:
Holidays: At times, a regularly scheduled one-to-one lesson may fall when M3 Creative Academy is closed on a holiday. Instructors will seek to reschedule the lesson for another day during the same, preceding, or following week. M3 Creative Academy is closed during Thanksgiving week, the last two weeks of December, and one week March through mid-May for spring break at the instructor's discretion. These weeks will not be rescheduled and are not included in the academic year.
Missed Lessons: If it is necessary to miss a scheduled lesson, please notify the instructor at least 24 hours in advance to allow rescheduling during that same week. If rescheduling is not possible and 24-hour notice has been given, your instructor may seek to double the time of the next lesson or reschedule for a different week. Due to illness or extenuating circumstances, rescheduling a full lesson is not always possible. At your instructor's discretion, they may offer additional practice video(s) instead of a live virtual lesson. If 24-hour notice of the missed lesson has not been given, rescheduling will be at your instructor's discretion.
Missed Classes: Group classes are self-paced, so occasional missed instruction is not vital for student progress. If a student should miss a class session, they may join a similar class at a different time. M3 Creative Academy is not able to reschedule classes due to student absences. Group classes are not recorded to ensure our students' and instructors' privacy and protection.
Refunds and Credits:
Refunds: M3 Creative Academy may offer refunds when services have been paid for but unused. Refunds are not given for missed lessons or mid-month termination from lessons or classes.
Credits: A customer may be given credit for a lesson or class that our missed lesson or class policies do not address. Credit will be applied to a customer's invoice the following month.
Etiquette for group classes, workshops, and other live, virtual interactions hosted by M3 Creative Academy
Instructors and students agree to the following.
Use your real name. “Michael W. Smith” or “Smith Family” is acceptable, “IAmBatman56732” is not acceptable.
Be respectful, take turns, and stay on mute in group settings unless it is your turn to talk or perform.
Work toward encouraging others with your words and body language instead of discouraging or teasing.
Treat online events like you were in person. Therefore, be respectful, think before you speak, and use appropriate language and gestures at all times. Also, make sure your physical environment or background is appropriate for all participants.
Understand that not following the above guidelines may result in removal from an event, class, or lesson without any warnings at the sole discretion of our staff.
